ब्रिटेन की 178 साल and दुनिया की सबसे पुरानी ट्रैवल कंपनी थॉमस कुक ने कारोबार बंद करने की घोषणा कर दी है।कंपनी के बंद होने से 3 लाख पर्यटक जहां-तहां फंस गए हैं। इसके साथ ही दुनियाभर के16 देशों में फैली इस कंपनी के करीब 22 हजार कर्मचारियों की नौकरी भी संकट में आ गई है 1841 में छोटे से स्तर से कारोबार की शुरुआत करने वाली कंपनी आखिर अचानक बंद क्यों हो गई, आइए जानते हैं

1841 में थॉमस कुक ने रखी नींव

दुनिया की सबसे पुरानी ट्रैवल कंपनी की स्थापना 1841 में ब्रिटेन के नागरिक थॉमस कुक ने मार्केट हारबोरफ में की थी। ब्रिटेन में रेलवे लाइनें बिछने का सिलसिला शुरू होने के साथ ही कामगार और कुलीन, दोनों वर्गों के लिए छुट्टियों का पर्याय बन गई थी। 1855 में कंपनी ने यूरोप के लिए टूर की शुरुआत की तो 1866 में पर्यटकों को अमेरिका तक ले जाने लगी।

1892 में नई पीढ़ी के हाथ में आई कंपनी

संस्थापक थॉमस कुक का 1892 में निधन होने के बाद उनके कारोबार को बेटे जॉन मैसन कुक ने संभाला।

1928 में कुक के पोतों ने कंपनी को बेचा

जॉन मैसन कुक के बेटे फ्रैंक और अर्नेस्ट ने 1928 में कंपनी के कारोबार को बाहरी मालिकों के हाथों बेच दिया।

1948 में कंपनी का राष्ट्रीयकरण

द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध के बाद 1948 में ब्रिटेन सरकार ने इसका अधिग्रहण कर लिया था।

पहली बार कंपलीट हॉलिडे पैकेज का ऐलान

1955 में थॉमस कुक इंटरनैशनल हुई। औद्योगिक क्रांति के बाद ब्रिटेन में मिडिल क्लास की बढ़ती आकांक्षाओं की हमराह बनी। उसने लंदन से पैरिस के लिए ट्रिप का ऐलान किया। पहली बार किसी कंपनी ने कंपनी हॉलिडे 'पैकेज' की पेशकश की, जिसमें यात्रा के साथ-साथ रहने और खाने का भी इंतजाम था।

1972 में फिर निजी हाथों में पहुंची

1972 में कंपनी को मिडलैंड बैंक, होटलियर ट्रंस्ट हाउस फोर्ट और ऑटोमोबाइल असोसिएशन ने खरीद लिया। उस वक्त मध्य पूर्व में तेल संकट, ब्रिटेन में मजदूरों की हड़ताल की वजह से जहां बाकी ट्रैवल कंपनियों का भट्ठा बैठ गया लेकिन थॉमस कुक न सिर्फ मजबूती से डटी रही बल्कि दोबारा निजी हाथों में आने के बाद उसने अपने धंधे का ग्लोबल विस्तार भी किया।

जर्मन कंपनी के नियंत्रण में पहुंची

एक जर्मन कंसोर्टियम ने 1992 में थॉमस कुक का अधिग्रहण कर लिया। 2001 में जर्मन कंपनी C&N टूरिस्टिक एजी ने इसका अधिग्रहण कर लिया और इसका नाम बदलकर थॉमस कुक एजी हो गया।

2007 में माइ ट्रैवल के साथ विलय ने रखी पतन की नींव

2007 में थॉमस कुक और यूके बेस्ड पैकेज ट्रैवल कंपनी माइ ट्रैवल का विलय हुआ जो आत्मघाती साबित हुआ। यहीं से उसके पतन की शुरुआत हुई। इस वजह से थॉमस कुक कर्ज के बोझ तले दब गई, जिससे उबर नहीं पाई। इसके अलावा, उसे एक नई कंपनी जेट2हॉलिडे से तगड़ी प्रतिस्पर्धा मिलने लगी। पिछले महीने थॉमस कुक के संकट से निकलने की तब उम्मीद बंधी जब उसने चीन की इन्वेस्टमेंट कंपनी फोसन के साथ 1.1 अरब डॉलर का रेस्क्यू डील किया। हालांकि, यह भी काम नहीं आ पाई। उस पर 1770 करोड़ रुपये का कर्ज था, जिसे वह नहीं चुका पाई।

इंटरनेट ने भी डुबोया

थॉमस कुक को सबसे ज्यादा इंटरनेट ने डुबोया है। सोशल नेटवर्किंग और ई-कॉमर्स बेस्ड कंपनियों ने पूरी दुनिया में संगठित टूरिज्म और हॉस्पिटलिटी इंडस्ट्री की जड़ खोदकर रख दी है। दुनिया में किसी भी अनजानी लोकेशन पर जाने के लिए आपको सस्ती हवाई सेवा उपलब्ध कराने के लिए ढेरों साइटें सक्रिय हैं। यही हाल होटल में या किसी के घर पर कमरा लेने, खाना मंगाने और टैक्सी बुक करने का भी है। इन वजहों से आखिरकार 178 साल पुरानी कंपनी बंद हो गई।

थॉमस कुक के धड़ाम होने का असर
थॉमस कुक के डूबने से एक झटके में 22,000 लोगों की नौकरियां भी खतरे में पड़ गई हैं। अकेले ब्रिटेन में 9,000 लोगों की नौकरियां किसी भी वक्त जा सकती हैं। दुनिया की सबसे पुरानी टूर ऐंड ट्रैवल कंपनी के बंद होने से दुनियाभर में 6 लाख यात्री फंसे हैं। अकेले ब्रिटेन के डेढ़ लाख पर्यटक फंसे हुए हैं। इसके अलावा जर्मनी के 1,40,000 पर्यटक फंसे हुए हैं। ग्रीस में करीब 50,000 टूरिस्ट फंसे हुए हैं। बात अगर भारत की करें तो अकेले गोवा टूरिजम को करीब 50 करोड़ रुपये का झटका लग सकता है।

• एग्ज़ाम वॅारियर ( Exam Warrior - 2018 ) :-बोर्ड कि परीक्षा अधिकतर बच्चों के लिए सिर का दर्द होता है। इसी सिर दर्द को समझते हुए उन्होंने यह किताब लिखी है जो साल 2018 में लॅंाच की गई। इसमें प्रधानमंत्री ने बच्चों को परीक्षा के लिए खुद को तैयार करने की कई तकनीके बताई है जिन्हें उन्होनें खुद अपनाई थी। इस किताब में उन्होनें अपने बचपन के कुछ किस्से भी साझां किये हैं ताकि बच्चें इन सबको समझ पाए और इस दिक्कत से खुद को निकाल पाएं और परीक्षा में अच्छे नम्बर ला सके।
    

• साक्षी भाव ( 2015) :- यह किताब प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा लिखी गई कविताओं का संग्रह है। इसमें उन्होनें मां पर कविताएं लिखी है जिसमें वर्ष 2015 में प्रकाशित की गई थी। वे कहते ळैं कि यह कविताएं उन्होनें आत्मसुख के लिए लिखी थी। आपको बता दें कि इस किताब कि पहली कविता मां पर लिखी गई है। इन कविताओं को पढ़ कर आप अंदाज़ा लगा सकते हैं कि हज़ारों लोगों की सभा में अपने विरोधियों पर सीधा निशाना साधने वाले प्रधानमंत्री दिल से कितने संवेदनशील हैं। 

• A Journey: Poems by Narendra Modi (2014) :- प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की किताबों में शामिल यह कविताओं का एक और संग्रह है। इनमंे उन्होंनें कई बातों पर अपने विचार रखे हैं। इन कविताओं के ज़रिये अपना नज़रिया पेश किया है। आपको बता दें कि मुख्यतः यह किताबें गुजराती भाषा में लिखी गई हैं जिसका अनुवाद रवि मंथा ने किया है। इस किताब कि कुछ कविताएं पी एम ने अपने टõीटर अकाउंट पर भी डाली है। वर्ष 2014 में प्रकाशित इस किताब में कूल 67 कविताएं शामिल हैं। 

• कनविनिएंट एक्शन ( Convinient Action -2015) :- धरती और आने वाली पीढियों के लिए जलवायु परिवर्तन एक भयानक मुसीबत साबित हो सकती है। जिसको जताते हुए यह प्रधानमंत्री ने यह किताब लिखी है। खास बात यह है कि उन्होनें ना सिर्फ समस्या बताई है बल्कि उससे जुड़े समाधान भी दिये हैं। उन्होनें कहा है कि इस समस्या से निपटने के लिए विश्व को एकजुट होना होगा और काम करना होगा। 5 ज्योतिपुंज (2009) :- यह किताब प्रधानमंत्री के परोपकारी रूप को दर्शाती है। ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि इस किताब में उन्होनें सबके प्रति परोपकार और सेवाभाव रखने कि बात कही है। वे कहते हैं कि आपको मनुष्य जन्म मिला है तो उसमें दूसरो की मदद जरूर करें। इस किताब में उन्होनें मनुष्य के जन्म से लेकर मृत्यु तक दूसरों के प्रति अपनी जिम्मेदारियों का उल्लेख किया है। वे यह भी मानते हैं कि हर व्यक्ति के लिए राष्ट्र सर्वोपर्रि होना चाहिए। 

• सोशल हार्मोनी ( Social Harmony - 2012) :- आम आदमी हमेशा अपनी दुख तकलीफों से घीरा रहता है। और उन तकलीफों की ही वजह से उसका ज्यादा विकास भी नहीं हो पाता। नरेंद्र मोदी की इस किताब में वे इन समस्याओं और आम आदमी कि विकास यात्रा पर ही बात करते हैं। 

• एबोड अॅाफ लव ( Abode of love -2012) :- यह किताब भी नरेंद्र मोदी के प्रति अपने प्रेम और सद्भाव को दर्शाति है। क्योंकि इस किताब को भी उन्होंनें मां के प्यार पर सर्मपित किया है। वे कहते हैं कि हमारे जीवन में हम कई लोगों के प्यार से वाकिफ होते हैं जैसे दोस्त का एक दोस्त के प्रति पति का पत्नि के प्रति पर यह सारा ही प्यार एक माॅं के प्यार का प्रतिबिंब होता है। इस किताब के हिंदी में अनुवाद को प्रमतीर्थ नाम दिया गया है। 

• President Pranab Mukherjee - A statesman -2017 :- प्रधानमंत्री ने एक किताब राष्ट्रपति के नाम भी लिखी है। जिसका शीर्षक भी उन्होंने उन्हीं के नाम पर दिया है। 

इन किताबों के अलावा प्रधानमंत्री ने एज्युकेशन इज़ इम्वारमेंट ( Education is Empowerment) (2009) और द 37 सिंगापोर लेक्चर: इंडियाज़ सिंगापोर स्टोरी ( The 37 th Singapore Lecture: India’s Singapore Story) नामक किताबें भी लिखी हैं।

Why is Hindi Diwas Celebrated?

We celebrated Hindi Diwas 3 days ago on September 14. It was celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm. Hindi language is the hallmark of India because it is the mother tongue of India. India is a home to different languages. However, 44% of Indians speak only Hindi with this Hindi remains the most-spoken language in the country. This is a great way to remind us that Hindi is our main language as well as our official language. Students celebrate this day in schools and colleges. On this day, Teachers deliver speech to emphasize the importance of Hindi language. It is widely spoken in other countries also like Pakistan, Nepal, Mauritius, Fiji, Guyana and Suriname.

Why is Hindi Diwas Celebrated?

History has witnessed that Indians always wanted to adopt Hindi as the official language of the country. and the proposal for the same was put forward many times. Eventually, The Constituent Assembly of India adopted Hindi as the official language of the Republic of India on the 14th of September 1949. However, the Constitution of India implemented it as the official language on 26th January 1950. That is the reason why Hindi Diwas is celebrated on the 14th of September each year. It is also observed to cherish the Indian culture and honour the Hindi language.

Hindi Diwas Samaroh is organized in Delhi each year. Many people, including prominent people from the world of Hindi literature are invited to grace the event. various activities take place during this event. Schools, colleges and government offices across the country especially make it a point to celebrate this day by organizing different interesting activities.

The significance of Hindi language:

It is observed to stress upon the importance of Hindi language. However, over a period of time Hindi language has lost its significance to some extent. What is happening these days? an English spoken person is considered smarter than a Hindi spoken person. People are inclined towards English language. If someone speaks English people start giving him/her more respect whereas someone who speaks Hindi is looked down upon. Many People think that English spoken person knows everything. But that is not true, the reality is different. Even, our former Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj has emphasized the importance of Hindi language. She has spoken several times to promote Hindi language.

It is good to learn other languages but at the same time we should not forget that Hindi is our mother tongue. It is true that English is an International language and is widely spoken all over the world. Over a period of time, Education standard has completely changed. Every parent wants to send their children in CBSE board or English medium school. speaking Hindi has been restricted in almost every CBSE board schools because of which children are forgetting Hindi language. What will happen in the future? The conversation will take place only in English. People will have forgotten Hindi language to a great extent.

Chandrayaan-2: ISRO Completes De-Orbital Operation of Moon Lander Vikram

India's first moon lander - Vikram - on Tuesday got nearer to the Moon with the Indian 

space agency successfully completing the first of the two de-orbital operations.

According to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the de-orbital operation 

began at 8:50am as planned. Using the onboard propulsion system for 4 seconds the 

operation was carried out successfully.

The orbit of Vikram Lander is 104 km x 128 km.

The Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter continues to orbit the Moon in the existing orbit and both

 the Orbiter and Lander are healthy.

The next de-orbiting operation is scheduled on Wednesday between 3:30am-4:30am.

On Monday afternoon, Vikram got separated from its mother spacecraft Chandrayaan-2.

Vikram is scheduled to land on the south polar region of the moon on September 7

 between 1:30am to 2.30am.

After the moon touchdown by Vikram, the rover - Pragyan - will roll down from the former 

to carry out the research for which it was designed.

Meanwhile, the Orbiter continues to fly around the moon.

On July 22, the Rs. 978-crore Chandrayaan-2 was launched into space by India's 

heavy lift rocket Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle-Mark III (GSLV Mk III) 

in a text book style launch.
